Rules for traveling on Agentic Airways with firearms, sporting equipment, musical instruments, perishable items, big game trophies, and fragile or bulky items. Includes fees, size limits, packing requirements, and multi-piece exceptions.
Firearms and Ammunition
Firearms Checklist
- Firearms are checked baggage only -- never carry-on.
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- Firearms must be unloaded and in a locked, hard-sided container that prevents unauthorized access.
- Multiple locks may be required. Cable-style locks and long locks that do not fully prevent access are not accepted.
- Only the passenger may have the key or combination (may need to provide it to TSA).
- No dangerous or prohibited items in the container (no loose ammunition, flammable liquids, black powder, primers, or bear spray).
- You must declare all firearms at the baggage counter and sign a special tag for each container.
- Present photo ID or claim checks at the baggage office to retrieve firearms at your destination.
Ammunition
- Prohibited in carry-on baggage.
- Allowed in checked baggage within weight limits:
- Flights AG 001-1999: Domestic limit 50 lbs, International limit 11 lbs
- Flights AG 2000-2999: Domestic limit 50 lbs, International limit 11 lbs
- Flights AG 3300-3499: Domestic limit 11 lbs, International limit 11 lbs
Additional rules:
- Must be in original manufacturer packaging or a container designed for ammunition (wood, fiber, plastic, or metal).
- Loose ammunition in a box, bucket, or manufacturer packaging is not accepted.
- Projectile must be no larger than 11/16" in diameter (size of a dime).
- May be checked with or separately from the firearm.
- Shell casings are accepted if packed in crush-proof ammunition containers.
- Ammunition inside a magazine or clip may be accepted if enclosed in its own secure casing within the larger firearm case.
Firearms Baggage Allowances
The following count within your normal baggage allowance (excess charges apply for additional pieces):
- One rifle case with rifles, scopes, one shooting mat, noise suppressors, and small tools; OR
- One shotgun case with shotguns; OR
- One pistol case with pistols, noise suppressors, one pistol telescope, and small pistol tools
No limit on the number or type of firearms per case. Different firearm types may share a case if properly packed.

International Firearms Transport
- Canada: Handguns prohibited. Non-restricted hunting rifles and competition firearms do not require special documentation. Get a U.S. Customs declaration before departing.
- Mexico: Handguns prohibited. A consulate-issued permit is required for any firearm. Get a U.S. Customs declaration before departing.
- Select Caribbean and Central American destinations: Firearms and ammunition not accepted to or from certain destinations; check with the Agentic Airways Help Centre before booking.
Sporting Equipment
Sports equipment is accepted as checked baggage when properly packed in a soft- or hard-sided case designed for the equipment.
Standard Sports Items (Oversize Fee Waived)
These items count as a REGULAR checked bag — they use your standard checked-baggage allowance and the normal per-bag fee, with the oversize fee waived. There is NO separate sports-equipment surcharge. So if the item fits within the free checked-bag allowance the customer already has (from fare class or Meridian Club tier), it is FREE ($0); a per-bag fee applies only if it is beyond their free allowance, exactly like an ordinary suitcase. The following items get the oversize-fee waiver:

- Fishing equipment

- Hockey/Lacrosse equipment
- Kiteboarding equipment
- Pole vaults
- Scuba equipment
- Skis/Snowboard
- Surfboards/Paddleboards

Overweight fee waived up to 70 lbs for bicycles and windsurfing equipment.
Multi-Piece Exceptions
These groups of items count as one checked piece:
- Fishing: 2 rods, 2 reels, 1 tackle box
- Hockey/Lacrosse: Sticks (taped together) + 1 bag of gear. Oversize threshold 62" linear, overweight threshold 50 lbs.
- Kiteboarding: 1 board, fin(s), 1 kite, 1 control bar, 1 helmet/PFD (may check as 2 pieces for 1 charge). Oversize threshold 115" linear, overweight threshold 50 lbs.
- Pole vaults: 1-2 poles (max 6" x 6" x 17' on mainline aircraft; not accepted on select regional aircraft). Oversize threshold 115" linear, overweight threshold 50 lbs.
- Scuba: 1 gear container + 1 tank (regulator, harness, gauge, mask, 2 fins, snorkel, knife, spear gun, vest). Oversize threshold 115" linear (no oversize fee), overweight threshold 50 lbs.
- Skis/Snowboard: 1 pair of skis with poles OR 1 snowboard + 1 boot/helmet bag. Oversize threshold 115" linear, overweight threshold 50 lbs.
- Surfboards/Paddleboards: 1 board case (max 125" length on mainline widebody/narrowbody aircraft; max 115" linear on flights AG 2000-3499). Overweight threshold 50 lbs.
- Windsurfing: 1 board + 1 mast/boom/sail (max mast: 12' on widebody aircraft, 17' on mainline narrowbody, 8' on select regional aircraft). Oversize threshold 115" linear, overweight threshold 70 lbs.
Bicycles
- Must be in a hard-sided case designed for bicycles or original manufacturer's box.
- One bike per case. Handlebars turned sideways, pedals removed, protruding parts padded.
- Oversize fee applies above 115" linear. Overweight fee applies above 70 lbs.
Kayaks and Canoes
- Accepted as checked baggage with standard fees; overweight and oversize fees apply.
- One set of paddles may be boxed with or taped to the kayak at no extra charge.
- No case required. Maximum 115" in length.
- Not accepted on select regional aircraft. Glass kayaks not accepted.
Camping Equipment
- Camping stoves and fuel containers are allowed only if the fuel system is completely dry with no remaining fuel or odor.
- Self-heating meals (MREs) are prohibited in carry-on and checked baggage (use air cargo).
- Propane and empty propane tanks may only ship on all-cargo aircraft.
- No matches or lighters in checked luggage.
Musical Instruments
Carry-On
Small musical instruments may count as your one carry-on bag and may exceed standard carry-on dimensions, as long as they can be safely stowed in a cabin compartment.
Cabin Seat Baggage
Large instruments can travel in the cabin if you purchase a seat. See the Fragile/Bulky Items section below for cabin seat baggage details.
Checked Instruments
Musical instruments are accepted as checked baggage when packed in a case designed for the instrument.
By weight:
- Up to 50 lbs: Standard checked baggage fees
- 51-165 lbs: Standard fees + overweight bag fee
By dimensions:
- Up to 62" linear: Standard checked baggage fees
- 63-150" linear (flights AG 1-1999, 8001-8199, 8201-8499): Standard fees + oversize bag fee
- 63-115" linear (flights AG 2000-2999, 3420-3499): Standard fees + oversize bag fee
Maximum dimensions: 150" linear on mainline flights (AG 1-1999, 8001-8199, 8201-8499) or 115" linear on regional flights (AG 2000-2999, 3420-3499).
Perishable Items and Big Game Trophies
Perishable Items
- Package all perishable items yourself; they are checked at your own risk for spoilage.
- Package raw meat and seafood to withstand a minimum of 48 hours in transit without refrigeration.
- Fish and raw game meat must be in a leak-proof container (no Styrofoam).
- Use gel ice (recommended) or up to 5.5 lbs of dry ice per customer. Wet ice is not allowed.
- Dry ice must be declared at check-in and labeled on the package.
- Freeze or chill meat and seafood thoroughly before packaging.
- Live and fresh seafood is acceptable if all packaging and labeling requirements are met.
Big Game Trophies (Antlers and Horns)
- Must be properly packaged: encased in shrink wrap or heavy-duty polyethylene bag.
- Antler tips must be protected and padded to prevent punctures.
- Must be free of raw meat, blood, residue, and noticeable odors.
- Maximum single dimensions: 38" deep x 24" wide x 70" length/height.
- Maximum total: 115 linear inches and 100 lbs.
- Oversize/overweight charges apply for items over 50 lbs or 62 linear inches.
- Limit of 1 animal/rack per flight (first come, first served). Additional items are space available.
- Items exceeding limits must be shipped via Air Cargo.
Government Regulations
- Federal Lacey Act: All seafood or game shipped across state lines must be labeled with your name and address, commodity type, specific species, and weight per container. Labels are available at ticket counters.
- State and provincial regulations: Special labeling may be required for unmounted antlers/horns, raw capes from big game, and bear hide, depending on the state, province, or country of origin. Attach the required wildlife-export tag from the local fish and game authority, or mark the container with the required information.
Fragile and Bulky Items
Agentic Airways accepts fragile items as long as they meet standard checked or carry-on baggage requirements.
Cabin Seat Baggage
For items too large or too fragile to check or fit in the overhead bin, you can purchase a seat:
- Cost: 100% of the applicable adult base fare + 6.25% cargo tax.
- Notice: Book as early as possible. At least 24 hours notice is required for groups of 5 or more.
- Additional baggage: Each passenger is still limited to one carry-on (22" x 14" x 9") plus one personal item, regardless of how many seats are purchased.
- Checked bags: The seat purchased for cabin seat baggage gets its own standard checked baggage allowance, fees, and waivers.
- Meridian Club: You can earn miles for both your seat and the cabin seat baggage seat (cabin seat baggage miles do not count toward status).
Liability for Fragile and High-Value Items
