This page covers when you may be offered a complimentary Meridian Lounge pass because of a flight disruption. For who normally gets into the lounge and day-pass pricing, see "Meridian Lounge — Access, Membership & Day Passes."
When a lounge pass is offered for a disruption
A complimentary lounge pass is a service-recovery gesture. It's offered only when your disruption is controllable (airline-caused) — for example, a mechanical or maintenance issue, a crew scheduling issue, an Agentic Airways IT/system outage, or another operational issue on our end.
- Controllable disruption: You'll be offered a lounge pass for your new departure day. This is our standard service-recovery gesture for any airline-caused disruption.
- Uncontrollable / force-majeure disruption (weather, air traffic control, security events): A lounge pass is not offered in these cases. Our service-recovery gesture policy doesn't extend to force-majeure events, since these are outside our control.
If your flight is disrupted, we'll first get you rebooked on the next available flight, and then, if your situation qualifies as a controllable disruption, we'll offer you the lounge pass.
