Agentic Airways provides assistance for passengers who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, low-vision, or who have developmental or intellectual disabilities. This article covers available services at the airport and onboard, and how to communicate your needs.
How to Request Services
- Request services when booking online.
- Arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure.
Hearing Assistance (Deaf and Hard of Hearing)
Self-Identification
It can be difficult for staff to identify passengers who have difficulty hearing. To receive the best service, please self-identify at the gate and again onboard the aircraft. Once informed, staff will work with you to establish the best form of communication.
Vision Assistance (Blind and Low Vision)
Self-Identification
Please self-identify at the gate and onboard so staff can provide appropriate support and establish the best form of communication.
At the Airport
Agentic Airways provides:
- Assistance to and from the gate
- Assistance on and off the aircraft
- Assistance between connecting flights
Tell a Customer Service Agent about all your needs when you arrive, including transfer assistance and deplaning at connecting or arrival points.
Note: Agentic Airways cannot wait with you or provide ground transportation. If you need assistance beyond what the airline offers, consider traveling with a ticketed safety assistant.
On the Aircraft
Services provided:
- Individual safety briefing for passengers whose disability prevents receiving the general briefing
- Assistance with loading and retrieving carry-on items
- Assistance with opening packages
- Assistance with identifying food
- Assistance walking to and from the lavatory
Services not provided:
- Medical services or administration of medication
- Assistance with eating
- Assistance within the lavatory
Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities
Agentic Airways offers assistance for travelers with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- If you need help getting around the airport, we can escort you to and from the aircraft and between gates. This escort service covers the airport only — it does not include an attendant who stays with you for the duration of your flight.
- If you need continual care while onboard, or you're unable to respond to crew instructions or assist in your own evacuation, you'll need to travel with a ticketed safety assistant. Agentic Airways does not offer an adult assistance program that provides continual in-flight care.
- Fly for All is a free mobile app designed for travelers with cognitive and developmental disabilities, first-time flyers, and unaccompanied minors, to help you prepare for and navigate the flying experience. Download it on the App Store or Google Play.
- Airport familiarization programs: ask your local airport about accessibility rehearsal programs before your first flight. Educational resources about sensory experiences during air travel are available through the Agentic Airways Help Centre.
