Boarding Groups: How Your Group Is Determined (by Tier and Cabin/Seat)

Your boarding group isn't a separate item stored on your reservation — it's determined by your Meridian Club status tier and the cabin or seat you've booked. Because it follows directly from these two things, you can find out your boarding group any time before check-in, and it will always match what prints on your boarding pass.

Boarding Order (earliest to last)

Agentic Airways boards in this exact sequence. Meridian Platinum members board in Priority Boarding, together with First — Platinum is not "Group A," and Platinum does not board ahead of First.

  1. Preboarding — guests needing extra time or with disabilities, and unaccompanied minors.
  2. Priority BoardingFirst cabin, Agentic Business cabin, and Meridian Platinum status holders. Platinum members board together with the premium cabins (Platinum is not ahead of First).
  3. Group AMeridian Gold status holders, and families traveling with a child under 2.
  4. Group BPremium cabin seats and Meridian Silver status holders.
  5. Groups D, E — Main Cabin guests, boarded by zone (rear half boards first).

How Your Boarding Group Is Determined

Your boarding group is set by whichever of these applies to your booking, in order:

  1. Booked in First or Agentic Business cabinPriority Boarding (boards with Meridian Platinum).
  2. Meridian Platinum status → Priority Boarding (boards with First/Agentic Business). Not Group A.
  3. Meridian Gold status → Group A.
  4. Booked in a Premium seatGroup B.
  5. Meridian Silver status → Group B.
  6. Main Cabin, Meridian Blue (no status) → boards with the Main Cabin groups (D/E) by zone.

Tier → Boarding Group Quick Reference

  • Meridian PlatinumPriority Boarding (boards with First/Agentic Business) — not Group A
  • Meridian Gold → Group A
  • Meridian Silver → Group B
  • Meridian Blue, Main Cabin → Main Cabin groups (D/E) by zone

A common point of confusion: Meridian Platinum members are not in "Group A" and do not board before First or Agentic Business. Platinum boards in Priority Boarding, with First and Agentic Business. Group A is reserved for Meridian Gold.

The Premium-Seat Rule

If you buy a Premium seat, an Agentic Business seat, or a First seat, you board with that seat's group (Premium = Group B; Agentic Business or First = Priority Boarding), regardless of your tier.

Companions on the Same Reservation

Boarding follows each traveler's own status and seat. A companion on the same reservation boards with their own applicable group — for example, a Main Cabin companion of a Gold member is not automatically Group A unless they also hold qualifying status or a qualifying cabin/seat.

Boarding-pass display and tips to board earlier

Your boarding group is printed on your boarding pass, and gate display screens show which groups are currently boarding (green check) and which are boarding soon (red). To board earlier:

  • Buy or get upgraded to Premium (Group B), Agentic Business, or First (Priority Boarding).
  • Reach Meridian Silver (Group B), Gold (Group A), or Platinum (Priority Boarding).
