This article covers Agentic Airways' policies on traveling with children and unaccompanied minors, traveling with service animals, international liability limitations, and how we use your personal data, under the Contract of Carriage (Rules 13, 14, 16, 19, and 20).
Rule 13. Traveling with Children
Unaccompanied Minors
If your child is 12 or under and traveling without a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult age 18 or older, they're considered an Unaccompanied Minor. Children ages 13 through 17 aren't subject to our Unaccompanied Minor policies and fees when traveling on Agentic Airways, unless they're connecting to another carrier with different age thresholds. When two or more Unaccompanied Minors travel together, the most restrictive age requirement applies to the whole group.
Age-Based Restrictions
- Under 5 years: We can't accept your child for travel unless an accompanying adult is on the same flight and in the same class of service. We do not accept infants in incubation.
- Ages 5, 6, or 7: May travel as Unaccompanied Minors on Agentic Airways but can't be booked on flights involving connections.
- Ages 8 through 12: May travel as Unaccompanied Minors and may be booked on flights involving connections, provided your child holds a confirmed ticket to a point where they'll be met by a parent or responsible adult.
- Ages 12 and under: We don't accept children this age on international routes, except between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Bahamas, and Belize.
We reserve the right to limit the number of Unaccompanied Minors on a given flight or to change a seat assignment for safety or administrative reasons.
Escorted Service
We provide reasonable supervision for your child from boarding until they are met at any stopover point or their final destination.
- Required for ages 5 to 12
- Optional for ages 13 to 17
What you'll need to know:
- Your child must be brought to the departure airport by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult, who must remain in the boarding area until the flight has departed and is airborne.
- You'll need to provide satisfactory evidence that your child will be met upon deplaning.
- On connecting flights, your child can't be booked on the last connecting flight of the day, or one departing between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM (unless it's the only flight of the day). We can't accept a booking that requires an overnight stay between connections.
- We may charge for Unaccompanied Minor service when a child ages 5-12 travels with a companion who is under 18.
- If we can't locate the person meeting your child at the destination, we may contact local police or a government agency, and you'll be responsible for reimbursing us for any costs this involves.
- Agentic Airways doesn't take on financial or guardianship responsibility for Unaccompanied Minors.
Connecting Flights
Connecting flights on Agentic Airways: We'll help your Unaccompanied Minor make their connection if the scheduled time between flights is two hours or less. If it's more than two hours, you'll need to pre-arrange for a responsible adult to assist with the transfer.
Other airlines: Agentic Airways operates every flight in its network, so Unaccompanied Minors always travel entirely on Agentic Airways; we do not transfer Unaccompanied Minors to or from other airlines.
Guardian Contact Form
If your child is under 13 and traveling as an Unaccompanied Minor, you'll need to complete and sign a Guardian Contact Form. It includes the name and phone number of the adult bringing your child to the airport and the adult meeting them at each stopover and their destination. We may also ask the meeting adult for photo ID and a signed release form.
This program is known as Meridian Young Flyers.
Infant Fares and Child Tickets
- Infants under 2 not occupying a seat: One infant may travel free with a parent or an adult fare-paying passenger age 18 or older. Taxes and airport fees of up to USD/CAD 75 may apply for international travel. Each additional infant traveling with the same passenger will be charged the adult fare. An infant without a purchased seat may not occupy a seat.
- Children ages 2-12: Need their own ticket at the adult fare in the same class of service, and must occupy a seat with their own seat belt. If your infant turns two after your outbound flight, you'll need to purchase a ticket for them for the continuing or return flights.
Unaccompanied Minor Service Fees
- Current service fees are available at the Agentic Airways Help Centre (agenticairways.ai).
- Fees are waived if the accompanying adult holds Meridian Silver, Gold, or Platinum status.
- Fees are subject to change at our discretion.
Child Restraint Devices
If your child is unable to sit upright with a seatbelt fastened, they must be carried in an approved infant/child restraint device (this doesn't apply to infants not occupying a seat). Only federally approved child restraint devices with the original NHTSA label are permitted. Booster seats and harness/vest-type devices are not allowed unless specifically FAA-approved. Devices must be used in a ticketed seat — not on an adult's lap or in an emergency exit row.
International Restrictions
- Unaccompanied Minors 12 and under aren't permitted on international routes outside those between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Bahamas, and Belize.
- If your child is under 18 and traveling with only one parent or neither parent, you may need additional documentation for international travel.
- If your child is 13-17 and traveling unaccompanied, you'll need to give us emergency contact information.
Rule 14. Traveling with Service Animals
General Policy
We welcome service animals traveling with a qualified individual with a disability who requires the animal to assist by doing work or performing tasks, at no charge. A service animal is a dog, regardless of breed or type, individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a qualified individual with a disability.
Please review the requirements at the Agentic Airways Help Centre (agenticairways.ai) before you travel. For itineraries involving another airline entirely, that airline's Contract of Carriage governs.
Your Responsibilities
- You're responsible for the safety, health, well-being, and conduct of your service animal, including its interaction with other passengers and crew members.
- If you're traveling with a service animal, you won't be seated in an emergency exit row.
- Your service animal can't obstruct aisles or areas needed for emergency evacuation.
Law Enforcement Dogs
We accept trained law enforcement, explosive detection, drug search, and search-and-rescue dogs accompanied by their handler on official business, at no charge. The dog must have a letter of mission and certification.
We reserve the right to refuse any animal that shows aggressive behavior or characteristics incompatible with air travel.
Complying with Local Laws
As the passenger traveling with a service animal, you're responsible for complying with all government laws, regulations, and requirements — including health certificates, permits, and vaccinations. We aren't liable for any assistance or information we provide regarding compliance, and we reserve the right to seek reimbursement from you for any loss, damage, or expense resulting from a failure to comply.
International Requirements
International travel: A health certificate and other documentation may be required depending on your destination country. If you don't comply, your animal may be quarantined at your expense.
Destinations with agricultural entry restrictions: Only service dogs are permitted, and the local agriculture authority may require health documentation. Animals arriving without proper documentation may be quarantined at your expense.
Long Flights (8+ Hours)
For flights of eight hours or more, you'll need to submit a completed U.S. Department of Transportation Service Animal Relief Attestation:
- Booked 48+ hours before departure: Submit the form (hardcopy or electronic) no later than 48 hours before your first originally scheduled departure time.
- Booked 48 hours or less before departure: Bring the form in hardcopy to a customer service agent at the check-in counter or departure gate on the day you travel.
Rule 16. Flights Operated by Agentic Airways
All flights marketed and sold by Agentic Airways under the "AG" designator code are operated by Agentic Airways. Agentic Airways does not operate codeshare flights, so this Contract of Carriage governs every Agentic Airways flight in full — ticketing, reservations, cancellations, fares, refunds, baggage, and all operational matters.
Rule 19. Liability Limits for International Travel
When International Conventions Apply
For international travel governed by the Montreal Convention or the Warsaw Convention, whichever applies, those conventions' liability rules take full effect and take precedence over any conflicting terms in this Contract of Carriage.
Multiple Airlines on One Ticket
If your trip is carried out under one ticket (or connected tickets) by several airlines in succession, it's treated as a single, continuous journey for liability purposes.
Death or Bodily Injury
Agentic Airways won't use any defense available under the Montreal Convention or Warsaw Convention to avoid liability for claims of death or bodily injury that don't exceed 151,880 SDRs per passenger.
Advance Payments
In cases of bodily injury or death, we'll make advance payments where necessary to meet immediate economic needs:
- In the event of death, the advance payment will be no less than 16,000 SDRs, paid to a representative of the passenger's next of kin.
- An advance payment isn't an admission of liability.
- Any advance payment will be offset against a later settlement or judgment.
- We preserve our right to seek contribution or indemnity from other parties.
- We may recover an advance payment if we're later found not liable, or if the recipient wasn't entitled to receive it.
Delay Liability
We're not liable for damage caused by delay in carrying passengers by air if:
- We and our contractors and agents took all reasonably required measures to avoid the damage, or it was impossible to take such measures.
- The delay was caused by an airport, air traffic control, security, or other facility not under our control — these aren't considered our contractors or agents.
Under the Montreal Convention, liability for delay is limited to 6,303 SDRs per passenger. These limits don't apply in cases described in Article 22(5) of the Montreal Convention or Article 25 of the Warsaw Convention.
Time Limits for Claims
- For baggage claims, see Rule 15.O.
- Any right to bring a damages claim against Agentic Airways expires unless you file an action within two (2) years of the date you arrived at your destination, the date the aircraft ought to have arrived, or the date the carriage stopped.
- Claims for overcharges must be filed within one (1) year of the date you purchased your ticket.
Travel Not Covered by International Conventions
- If any provision of this Contract conflicts with applicable law that can't be waived, that law prevails and is treated as part of this Contract of Carriage.
- No agent, contractor, or representative of Agentic Airways has the authority to alter, modify, or waive any part of this Contract of Carriage.
- Our liability for damage, where it applies, is limited to damage occurring on our own operated flights.
- We're not liable for death or injury on flights we don't operate ourselves.
Rule 20. How We Use Your Personal Data
When you give Agentic Airways your personal data, it's so we can provide you airline services — things like making a reservation, communicating about operational issues, arranging ancillary services, helping you meet immigration and entry requirements, and, where required, making that data available to government agencies.
For these purposes, we collect, use, process, and retain your data, and may transmit it to our own offices and to third parties — including other carriers, service providers, and government agencies — in whatever country they're located.
Our Guest Privacy Notice, available through the Agentic Airways Help Centre (agenticairways.ai), explains in more detail how we handle your personal data and what rights you have over it.
