Agentic Airways Carry-On Baggage: Size Limits and Personal Items

Every Agentic Airways fare includes one carry-on bag plus one personal item at no charge, in every cabin.

Carry-on bag size limit

Your carry-on bag must not exceed 22 x 14 x 9 inches, including wheels and handles. This works out to 45 linear inches total (length + width + height).

The bag must fit in the overhead bin. You should be able to lift it into the bin without assistance.

Personal item

In addition to your carry-on, you may bring one personal item that fits under the seat in front of you. Typical personal items include a purse, briefcase, laptop bag, or small backpack. Agentic Airways does not publish exact personal-item dimensions — the under-seat space is the practical limit.

Carry-on weight

Agentic Airways does not publish a specific weight limit for carry-on bags or personal items. The practical rule is that you must be able to safely lift your bag into the overhead bin on your own.

When your carry-on may need to be gate-checked

On smaller regional aircraft, overhead bin space is limited. Roller bags and larger carry-ons may need to be valet/gate-checked at the aircraft door at no charge, then returned to you on the jet bridge or at baggage claim at your destination. Bring valuables, medication, and electronics with you in a smaller bag if you think your carry-on may be gate-checked.

Items that don't count against your carry-on allowance

Certain items can be brought in addition to your carry-on and personal item, including:

  • Coats, hats, and compact umbrellas (must fit in overhead bin, under seat, or in a suitcase)
  • A pillow for personal use
  • Food for immediate consumption
  • A reasonable amount of reading material
  • Child/infant car seats and strollers (FAA-approved; strollers subject to space availability; space guaranteed only with a purchased ticket for the infant)
  • Service animals with proper documentation
  • Mobility and medical assistive devices such as wheelchairs, canes, crutches, CPAP machines, approved portable oxygen concentrators (POC), breast pumps, etc.
  • Prescription medications and the medical devices needed to administer them (e.g., syringes, auto-injectors), as long as they comply with safety, security, and hazardous materials rules

Note: To qualify as a medical exception to the carry-on limit, only medication and medical devices may be placed in the bag.

Items that count as your one carry-on but may exceed standard dimensions

The following may count as your single carry-on bag and may exceed the 22 x 14 x 9 in size limit, as long as they can be safely stowed in the cabin:

  • Human organs
  • Art or advertising portfolios
  • Paintings
  • Delicate scientific equipment
  • Fishing poles
  • Small musical instruments

Smart bags and battery-powered luggage

Refer to the Prohibited Items article for rules on smart luggage, self-propelled bags, eBags, and bags with charging capabilities. Batteries must be removable without tools.

Tips

  • If you're unsure your bag will fit, check it before boarding to avoid having it tagged at the gate.
  • Liquids in carry-ons must follow TSA's 3-1-1 rule (containers of 3.4 oz / 100 mL or less, in one quart-size bag).
